BLOG17- Romance Short Film | Long Branch | Omeleto

**Award-Winning** Romance Short Film | Long Branch | Omeleto

                                                                   **NOTICE**

This movie review that you are about to read only expresses my opinion about the movie and how I interpret it. You could have an entirely different opinion about it and have a different interpretation from mine. Enjoy!

This short movie succeeded to describe the characters of normal people and how to deal with a situation like this, and it was able to capture emotions and feelings in 13 minutes more than the 3 hours big budget movies, don’t get me wrong those movies are great and entertaining too, also some of them have wonderful actors who convey the story to the viewer and allows us to ride on the journey of the story with them.

The short film is romantic however it is authentic and not full of fairy tales but consists of earthly magic, the kind of magic that you see in real life and not in storybooks; it is a real life narrative that portrays on what people should do and how to act, but the events that happens in the movie are far away from the idea of a sexy night the girl had in her mind or expected it to be, however the night turned out to be wholesome unlike what she thought it would.

The first thing we see when the movie starts, are two people kissing passionately in an ally somewhere in Toronto which is really attention grabbing to keep the viewer watching intensely, with the music sound coming from a club nearby for the viewer to stay interested in watching and eager to know what will happen next.

This short film explains what life is like in a big city and how people should be to each other in any situation, it is a romantic but not the excessive romance it simulates a real situation it speaks to the people who seek realism in every corner of their life.

Films nowadays are full of excessively sentimental melodramatic pictures and the film takes long hours for it to convey a love emotional story that will only happen in fairy tales, but this short romantic film contains a strong messages that in a way signifies that romantic nights and romance in general is not all colourful and full of rainbow or flowers at the beginning, and it may be not very obvious but something normal and has a profound and deep philosophical meaning behind it and behind the person doing it.

There is something I need to tackle in this movie and it is something clear, her calling him “but you are so nice” I don’t think what he did was so nice, giving your seat in the metro to a woman who is standing like the rest, is a nice act, but I would call what he did is a considerate act, someone who was aware of the situation they are both in, it’s night and it’s cold and there is no taxis, so he did what every good and thoughtful person would do.

This film or any film for that matter has something to say to the viewer, that people are good at heart and have so much to offer than just the surface we see, as the saying goes it is only the tip of the iceberg and not all icebergs are created equal, but it really sucks to find someone who is looking for love but takes this route instead, and she was looking for just lust and a random asshole to have sex with but ended up finding love and a guy who knows how to spell her name.

Maybe in the end when we grow up to become mature and start developing a life of our own and building our characters, we don’t get what we wish for but we get what we deserve and what is best for us.

BLOG40-goodbye

Farewell   I'll take all my secrets with me and I will leave my soul behind A testament of my life, as a man who was once alive And though my time may be up, and my journey may be done I'll live on in their memories, as the man who was just one.   If I should depart, this is my last farewell To be reborn again but not in a cell To laugh with the happy times, to cry with the tears To revisit the moments, that shaped all my years   I've been living life on the edge, taking risks and passing tests After I say my goodbyes, nothing will be left After I leave and go, what will they dream of me? That I am a second to none or I was living hopelessly?     I've made mistakes along the way, done things I'm not proud of But I'll take them to my grave, buried deep beneath my face When they speak of me, will it be with reverence or disdain? Will they see me as a hero or a villain or maybe just insane?   why we fig...

BLOG-45 HOPE

HOPE Dear hope, our love was once alive Every moment with you made my heart thrive From the streets to your place, we strolled Fireworks & music it is a story to be told   Hand in hand, time stood still Kisses and love, a magical thrill I cherished every moment, every beat Dreaming of you, making my life complete   But our definitions of love did not align I sought a life partner, you wanted to dine On financial stability, a different kind of affection Leaving me with questions and in different directions   I apologize for the hurtful words I said They were misplaced, causing tears to shed I dreamt of marriage, after seven months that was true But circumstances intervened and it couldn't come through   I'm sorry for the times I neglected your needs Leaving you feeling alone, lost like a seed Family comes first, my unwavering creed But I wish you happiness and I hope you succeed   I wanted to be a cha...

BLOG18- THE END

The End There is something inside my chest beating There is fire inside my soul and it’s bleeding This is how I grieve and express my feelings Feeling the blues since and I am still screaming  Been on the edge feeling cold and freezing  Been loved but they deserted me and said I'm needy I am trying to love but I am heaving with the crowd  The voices in my head are loud telling me to change my route  I am just writing my thoughts on this paper  I'm still coping with my loss until the day later  I'm still crying, drinking shots waiting for the reaper I can see my anger vaporizing my awful behaviour  Trying to find the option but I am stuck in this mess  My love they left and I am still awfully depressed Then they ask me why do you detest like the rest  Just be happy that you are here living to exist I'm still lost and stuck in the mist   I am still drifting but I would like to be kis...
